Even pinned tabs are being moved (at least in my case). This is super annoying (v0.40.4)
Is there a setting to prevent that?
Hi @Fab-Miami
Please download the new version from the website cursor.com.
41.1 downloaded… still the same problem, tabs got moved.
Is there a setting?
Why moving the tabs?
Cursor doesn’t autoupdate?
I’m not sure, I don’t have that issue. Maybe it’s caused by an extension? Try booting without extensions and see if that helps.
I don’t know if this is what OP means, but I find extremely annoying that tabs are pinned when I use them in the chat. This completely disarranges my workflow as I lose track of where the tabs are.
I’m also on the latest 0.41.1. I wish I could completely disable this behavior.
Has anyone found a fix for this? Its pretty annoying.
Well, I didn’t! The bug is still there and it is the most annoying thing with Cursor. I’ve friends who stop using Cursor just because of that problem. I really don’t understand why this is not being fixed.
Definitely a fixable problem. My guess is that it’s some interaction with a VSCode setting but I am too lazy to go digging around to find it lol.
Just started using Cursor and this bug is super annoying. I even tried pinning my left-most tabs, and the file that Cursor updates still gets moved to the far left (and even pins itself somehow?). Please post here if you figure out a fix
Hey, have you tried this: Please don't move my tabs 🙏🏻 - #4 by deanrie
There is no feature in Cursor (above anything built into VS Code) that should reorder or pin your editor tags, so my first guess is this is either an extension or a setting imported from VS Code that does this.
I have tried disabling all extensions, restarting Cursor and the issue persists.
It may very well be an imported VS Code setting, I will continue to troubleshoot and update if I find something, thank you
I tried EVERYTHING and totally gave up on the issue. It’s so bad …
