Please stop the Pro Trial!!!
I’m a loyal Cursor user and a Pro subscriber. Because your company insists on giving new users 50 free trials of Pro features, we, the actual Pro users, often can’t access the advanced and fast models. This deeply hurts us. I hope your company makes changes in a timely manner and doesn’t chase after user volume and those fake numbers, which fuels the growth of various cheating tools and deeply hurts us loyal users.

hmm you will see later

yeah, esp when copilot is unlimited. when you are DOUBLE the price!
i asked why here already…

Serious digression from the topic

i’ll say:
what is free to the free trial should be available in paid users.

e.g. c3.5 should NOT be counted as credits.
and that 500 fast request only count towards c3.7+/-t.

this will be more fair. as copilot got unlimited …

Brilliant idea, very balanced advice. Hopefully the Cursor designers can see this topic!

There is a reason people still use cursor and not copilot.
However, Copilot is catching up.
There is no need for false loyalty - if you believe some other tool gives you more for same price, or same functionality for less, than switch.

I personaly belive that Cursor devs do their job very well and always keep one step ahead of competition. This belief can change.

Pro is not Pro if its Pro ability is restricted by a marketing ploy to secure new subscribers
Its that simple! Pro
Another poor decision if this is the case in reality!

I think offering a free trial is not an issue. The real problem lies with the cracked tools. Adding some verification measures to prevent abuse is a good idea. For example, requiring users to bind their phone numbers during registration. This way, it would prevent mass registration of accounts for abusive purposes.

sms platform: hello

I sort of agree with this but they do need to show its power to sell it.

You can’t prevent this by blocking members who use short-term free trials. You can see that many of the big companies that offer trials have been able to grow themselves better from a marketing perspective by doing this, as customers are no longer willing to make a purchase without experiencing it. Cursor should grow by expanding its capacity, not by limiting its services. Tomorrow, even bigger and more advanced models than Claude 3.7 will be announced and will we end up with an inadequate infrastructure? If we don’t want this to happen, we should look at how the company is taking actions to expand its service capacity, not the marketing decisions it makes.

Just disable the virtual number, the real phone number will be expensive

Unfortunately, Cursor is getting worse and worse to use every day! It doesn’t work non-stop all the time. Fix the problems before selling more subscriptions or you will lose current users.
