I’m a Pro user (however, in the settings panel, i’m still prompted to “upgrade to pro” with seemingly no indication that the app is aware that I’m on a pro plan)
One of the main reasons I signed for pro was the autoprediction feature that anticipates what you might type next, and suggests some code that you can press ‘tab’ to accept - i found this very helpful.
However, at some point, this feature stopped working entirely, and i can’t figure out why. I haven’t changed any settings, i’ve tried changing the model, none of my efforts at troubleshooting have proven successful.
Any help would be appreciated. Not going to renew my subscription if I can’t get this to work.
This functionality is called Cursor Tab, previously known as Copilot++.
What seems to happen if you log out of your Cursor account and login again? You can do that from Cursor settings menu at the top of your Mac, on the menubar.
It does not fix the issue if I do this. Also, when I sign back in, it still says “upgrade to pro” in the settings even though i am on a pro plan. I see that this has been a bug previously. Perhaps this is happening because my app still thinks I’m on the free tier?
Hmm, that’s interesting. Personally, I haven’t seen this error. So I think the next thing to try might be reinstalling the Cursor IDE altogether and or ensuring that it’s on the latest version.
in the settings I have Cursor Tab enabled, model set to auto, and all related features enabled. It still doesn’t appear when I start working in the editor
I think the biggest problem to troubleshoot is why you are seeing a prompt to upgrade to pro even though you are on the pro plan. Cursor Tab not working is the secondary issue.
