Hey, thanks for the report. This is expected behavior. Here’s how those columns work:

  • Type shows the billing category for each request, like “Included” (covered by your plan), “Free”, “User API Key”, and so on.
  • Cost shows the actual amount charged in USD. Since you’re on Pro+ and still within your included quota, it also shows “Included” because there are no extra charges.

Once you go over the included amount, the Cost column will start showing dollar amounts, for example “$0.24 Included”.

So they’re not duplicate columns, they just look the same in this case.

Sorry, Dean, but I don’t agree with you. This might be the expected behavior since Cursor made the change, but it was not how it worked until a few days ago. Previously, regardless of whether it was included, the cost in dollars was shown for each model exchange. Now, that information is no longer displayed. This is useful information, and the change affects not only this page but also other pages related to cost, which are now showing values as percentages instead of actual dollar amounts. Please see my post about this.

Sorry but it is still redundant information until I go over the included amount.
I still need to see the dollar amount for each Message.

You can try this: Usage costs no longer available - #26 by circa94

Why??
Just why?
Why the lack of transparency??

First, they removed from the Usage tab. But the Included cost was still in the exported CSV. But now, they have removed it from the CSV as well.

I really don’t get why all of this.

I really like Cursor because it’s a IDE, it’s easy to work “as a team” with the LLM, but now I’m really considering moving to CC

I think the gravity of the exact value info being hidden is very serious. This opens possibilities for arbitrary limits. If we can’t check if we are being charged for the correct API + margin price in the models how do we know if you are following correctly the price model? How could we check if you are really charging $25 for opus output and not $50? This really makes me question if I should stay with my plan in Cursor. The lack of transparency is serious in this case. @deanrie

The fact they are not even responding to our complaints about this change is not a good sign.

Really frustrated about this as well. The ability to see how the usage impacts the available credits is key to working with the available credits effectively. Bring back the details that were there before as well as the usage summary at the bottom of the chat window!!!
