Pro and Unlimited - What each plan really gives you

I see many asking about this so I figure I’d drop a thread with the information people are mostly asking about instead of trying to posts on every thread.

Pro (your current) Ultra (new)
Price / mo $20 $200
Fast-request quota 500 / mo (after that you drop to slow queue or pay usage at ≈ $0.04 per request) (docs.cursor.com) “20 × Pro” → ~10 000 fast requests / mo (no slow queue) (forum.cursor.com, cursor.com)
Agent / Tab completions Unlimited (but throttled if you abuse the rate) (cursor.com) Unlimited, same throttle rules
Context window sizes Max windows already unlocked on Pro (cursor.com) Same
Extra perks Background Agents, Bug Bot All Pro perks +
• PR-indexing (AI reviews remote PRs end-to-end) (cursor.com)
• Priority access to new models & beta features (cursor.com)
Billing predictability $20 base + $0.04 × (extra fast requests) (forum.cursor.com) Flat $200; no overage option yet

seems this is incorrect, there is no 500 usage or 10000 usage anymore
we don’t know about this, cursor also don’t want to give more info about this to prevent abusement

You will still get hit with a limit on pro plan - however it was increased in what it allows and can use, they still allow for additional usage pricing for non-unlimited plan’s for a reason ;p

Hey, usage-based pricing is needed so that if you reach the speed limit for the model, you can continue to use the same model if necessary, or choose another model, or take a break and return later.

I can confirm this isn’t 100% accurate, as there is no longer a 500 request limit - users can use more than this when working within their rate limits.

This is not correct. Please see my post (New Pro mode switching to usage charges WITHOUT WARNING! - #3 by r1ch) about hitting the rate limits straight away when there were over 2000 requests left on my “legacy” pro account.

Then let us see the realtime rate limits, So we can tailor our usage on it?

Only the developers forgot to say that $20 and $200 are not real money that you can spend under the “per use” scheme. $20 (500 requests) burns out almost instantly, and with $20 under the “per use” scheme you can work much longer! That is, $200 is not dollars, but “tugriks”
