Python extension does not update

In cursor im not getting the most updated version of the python, pylance and python debugger extensions

while in vs code I do get the latest version:

Im developing using cursor and running python code and debugging using vs code which is quite frustrating…

Seems like there is a licensing issue with Microsoft that prevents me from using that extension.
That is a â– â– â– â–  of an issue

well, product.json can tell you the solution for that isue :slight_smile:

Cursor devs say here that this is a limitation of the current vscode base version, and they’ll need to update to a newer version for 2025 python plugin compatibility: Issues With Python Testing - #5 by danperks
