Relaunching cursor doesn't honor my sidebar position preference

Describe the Bug

I set the sidebar position to “left”, and whenever I quit and relaunch Cursor, it reverts to the sidebar being on the “right”.

Steps to Reproduce

Launch Cursor, select “left” as sidebar preference, quit and reopen cursor

Expected Behavior

My preference of the sidebar being on the left should be honored upon subsequent application relaunches

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue in version 2.2.20 - the sidebar position doesn’t stay saved after restarting the app. The team is investigating this bug.

Unfortunately, there is no reliable workaround at the moment. While the team is working on a fix, you’ll need to move the sidebar to the left each time you open the app.

Keep an eye on updates - this should be fixed in upcoming releases.
