Restoring archived chats in Cursor

I just accidentally archive my chat and I couldn’t unarchive it,
I tried open agent window and use the “only archived” method but I still can’t see anything,
if I didn’t open agent widnow I even can’t see anything about unarchive or something else,
this ■■■■ is a big big bug and very bad user experience this button is just very close to the thing that i gonna hit, and cursor even don’t have a alert to check, but the most important thing is that no way to get my chat back so i ■■■■ cursor I wish elon musk will fix it :enraged_face:

Hey, nothing’s lost. Archiving doesn’t delete a chat, you can bring it back. Try this:

  1. In the Agents sidebar, open Customize Sidebar / filter (the funnel or list icon at the bottom of the sidebar) and enable Archived. In the new IDE sidebar it’s under Filter by → Status → Archived.
  2. If you don’t see that button, scroll to the very bottom of the chat list. There should be a collapsed Archived section. Click it to expand.
  3. Once the archived chat shows up, hover it and click the restore icon, or right-click → Restore.

For next time, in the Agents Window the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+E or Cmd+Shift+E archives the current chat. In the editor it opens Explorer, so it’s easy to hit by accident. For the file tree, use Ctrl+G or Cmd+G.
