"resume the conversation" is broken since v0.49

since Version 0.49 “resume the conversation” doesn’t work anymore.. it leads every time to the Error “Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN”

Anyone else have this problem?

Cursor keeps getting worse, its so annoying.. I cant count the problems which came in the last 2-3 months…

Yup exactly the same

Wasted so many requests, can’t even count anymore lmao

Tried all the solutions etc, nothing works…

Forcing the 25 limit on every user is nonsense anyway

Users should have an option to disable the limit imho

The hard limit makes cursor useless for complex tasks
Well at least for me…

I don’t have this limit with other “providers”
Which makes me question my cursor subscription to be honest

Edit: Forgot to mention that “keep going”, “continue” or anything else is no solution, because it does NOT continue the conversation but instead “soft restarts” the conversation indirectly

Which delivers often useless results etc

Hi, could you both share more info for the issue to be analyzed?

As the issue is indicating Cursor can not access their API, the log from developers tool would help.

Go to Help > Open Developer Tools
Then there is a console log.

Please provide more info

  • How often does this issue occur? in every chat when you resume?
  • Does this occur on long chats or also in first request?

Hi, thanks for responding.

I can deliver logs if it happens again.

About your questions.

It happens every time if the “25” limit is reached. In the past I could click “resume the conversation” and it did his job.

The second question I cant say by now. Have to try it

There were improvements on this process in version 0.50 that came out today, please try if this helps prevent such issues

I just noticed also in a new chat I have the problem

I have now the newest Cursor Version.. same behavior…

I also have the dev-tools console-log-… a lot of errors..
where can I send it?? i wont paste it into the forum

You can send it to the support contact email at top right of the forum.

same guys

yeah I’m done with my cursor subscription

issues still persists, occurs multiple times a day

no reaction or support from Cursor

new macbook pro, no vpn, cursor the only app with “vpn” errors in the whole OS

this is definitely a cursor bug

I don’t have time to babysit an AI and start new chats again and again

this nonsense costs me a lot of money

there are already a bunch of competitors out there

maybe cursor gonna fix this in the future…
then I’ll gladly come back

but I don’t have much hope though
they can’t even rename the gemini integration to the correct current version…
so yeah whatever
