"Review next file" button persists on .svg file

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The “Review next file” button persists even after the file has been reviewed and all changes accepted. The file is an SVG. This is very annoying since clicking review brings me to an svg image with no code to accept since it is rendered.

The bug persists on cursor reboot.

Steps to Reproduce

I asked GPT-5 agent in the editor to generate favicons for a website, it created svg files and some manifests.

All changes were accepted.

Expected Behavior

The review next file button shouldn’t appear and link to an svg file after all changes have been accepted, the agent bar closed or the IDE rebooted.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known state management issue where the review system doesn’t clear properly after accepting changes.

Please try this workaround:

  • Go through your agent chat history and click “Review” on recent chats
  • For any files showing review controls (including SVG), explicitly click “Keep All” or “Undo All” in the editor UI
  • Repeat for all affected files
  • Restart Cursor

If the issue persists after this, please share any errors from Help → Toggle Developer Tools → Console, and I’ll escalate it to the team.
