sometimes when i ask claude to edit files and this is also on auto mode. its corrupting files when i try to edit files with claude. i have git so can restore but its a serious issue

use claude and auto on a file and eventually it should happen

Does it happen more on large files or during rapid, multiple edits?
Does it occur in a brand‑new chat or only in an existing large chat?
Which file types/extensions are impacted?
Any correlation with network issues or system performance drops?
What file encoding is used (UTF‑8, UTF‑16, with/without BOM)?
In the meantime, please try:
Using other models (e.g., Grok, GPT‑5) in a new chat
Testing different encodings
Capturing before/after diffs, plus logs and timestamps
