I often need to edit the code where autopilot performs pretty badly, while in other parts it works well. Is it possible to have a key binding to quickly enable disable the copilot. Currently I have to manually go to the setting to enable/disable it, and there seems to be no better way.
Hi, could you explain what you mean with autopilot or copilot?
Under (Cursor Setting)/(Cursor Tab) section, there is box named “A powerful Copilot replacement that can suggest changes across multiple lines. Previously called Copilot++”. I would like to be able to enable/disable this feature with a shortcut. Ideally, the auto complete from that feature should be only triggered via shortcut, in an on demand way, but not while I’m just typing the text.
Ok there is an option in the bottom right border of Cursor
There you can disable the Tab feature without going into settings.
Alternatively, if you want to change that to another key that you do not use on your keyboard this is also possible.Tab is the current key assigned.
You can change the key assigned to this, here is the docu page explaining the steps and you can change the key for “Accept suggestion” from Tab to other character you do not use.
