Are you experiencing the same behaviour as the user in this post?

The horizontal activity bar should have the same badges as the vertical bar

The horizontal activity bar should have the same badges as the vertical bar. The horizontal bar is good, but missing the git badges is especially frustrating and results in loads of clicking back and forth.

I did try some troubleshooting in that thread, but could not reproduce.

Can you please copy/paste system info from:

Cursor > Help > About

I wasn’t able to make it work horizontally, but if you change the activity bar to vertical it works as expected: Cursor: Customize Your Sidebar Like VS Code | Trung Vo

Issue: Given horizontal orientation of Activity Bar, source control icon does not show notification/badge.

Workaround: Set Activity Bar orientation (workbench.activityBar.orientation) to vertical. ( Source Control Notifications - #2 by Jakob )

Reports:

• Source Control icon in the panel does not indicate about the uncommited changes
• VSCode traditional side panel option
• The horizontal activity bar should have the same badges as the vertical bar - #13 by pbechliv
• Show Git Pending Changes Count
• Show git diff notification like this
