Slack Automation Ignoring One User

I’m using cursor automations to pick up messages in a slack channel and process them. It works for all users except one randomly.

I have tried recreating the automation, no change. It is of type team editable and should be running for all users.

Hey Thomas, thanks for reporting! I apologize for the inconvenience.

This is a known edge case on our side that can result in Slack-triggered team automations only paying attention to members of your Cursor team, so if that one user hasn’t joined the team in Cursor yet, the run will silently skip them (even if you have the automation set as “Anyone in Channel”)

As a temporary workaround, double-check that the user is invited to and has accepted their invite to your Cursor team — once they’re in, the automation should pick them up like everyone else.

We’re aware of the issue and working on a fix so Slack automations behave consistently regardless of Cursor team membership. I’ll follow up here once there’s an update.
