When I am in the slow pool, I cannot use “auto” as it always comes up with this error. When using “free models”, they also don’t work. Shouldn’t auto still work and just ignore what is not “included” in the slow pool and also free models work despite being in the “slow pool”?
Any help would be much appreciated. stopping me from using “auto” is quite annoying when my subscription definitely includes it.
Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue. Auto mode doesn’t automatically switch to available models when you hit the GPT-5 limit in the slow pool. It’s usually temporary.
To help us investigate, could you share:
- Your Cursor version (Help > About)
- Your subscription tier (Pro or Team)
- Which exact free models you tried, and whether you got the same error
