I’ve been unable to use the Gemini 2.5 Pro Max model for the last few days and am unsure why I’m unable to do so. I have an active Pro plan with only 37/500 Premium model requests used for this month. All other models seem to work, except for this one which is unfortunate as I was seeing the best results with this model before I began having the issue. When trying to use this model, I get the below message:

I tried re-installing the desktop application, signing out/signing in, etc. but no improvements thus far. If anyone might be able to shed some light on why this is happening, I’d really appreciate it- its somewhat frustrating to not be able to use this model despite having the Pro plan. Please see my cursor specs below (MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)):

Without being able to use this model, I am finding the quality of the responses to decrease. I am debating on whether the Pro Plan is still worth it without access to this model. TIA for any guidance!

To confirm, I also do not have any MCP servers enabled, since I know this was a recommended solution in the past. I was also able to rule out an internet connectivity issue potentially causing it as well.

I found the issue- my chat window was too large, as I was working in the same window for roughly 2-3 days. Once I started a new chat, the model worked.
