Problem
In the Agents sidebar, Group by → Updated sorts individual agent chats by time (Today / Yesterday), which breaks the project folder structure. I lose the top-level Project view I rely on for navigation.
What I actually need is different:
• Keep grouping by Workspace / Project (folder hierarchy intact)
• Sort only the top-level project folders by activity (e.g. most recently active project first)
• Within each project, agents can stay sorted by recency or another rule
Current behavior
Group by
Result
Workspace
Folder structure preserved, but project order seems fixed (not activity-based)
Updated
All agents flattened into a global timeline — projects are no longer the primary structure
Neither option matches: “sort projects by activity, not agents.”
Expected behavior
System ← most recently active project (top)
├─ chat A
├─ chat B
└─ …

Web3 ← second
└─ …

FDE ← third
└─ …
Project folders stay grouped; only folder order reflects activity (last agent update in that workspace, open session, or similar).
Why this matters
Users with many projects (10+) need quick switching between projects, not scrolling a flat list of hundreds of agents. Project-level sorting reduces context-switching cost without sacrificing hierarchy.
Suggested UX
• Group by: Workspace (unchanged)
• Sort workspaces by: Recent activity (new option in the ≡ menu)
• Optional: pin projects to top (separate from sort)
Thanks for considering this.
