I have Speechify app, but it is not integrated with Cursor. Is it possible to add this app or similar functionality to read the generated text out loud, TTS

I’d definitely try it if it was available, and definitely think the idea is cool, but , thinking out loud, I wonder how helpful it would be to my personal coding practices…

I used Chat GPT voice chat on my mobile device several months ago to help me setup my TV and gaming console settings, whilst I was connecting HDMI cables etc.

I noticed in my own speech, I had a lot of pauses, because I needed time to think about what i wanted to say or ask. In those times, sometimes the chat would start responding prematurely etc. So the process was a bit awkward. But maybe I just need to practice that mode of interacting with AI more.

And, come to think of it, this was before the release of GPT4o, so maybe the interactions are a lot more seamless now.

Are you currently interacting with speech services and software applications in a way that seems seamless and productive etc?

Create of WithAudio and an active Cursor user here.

I’d be happy to create this (Text To Speech) as a feature and add to WithAudio. For example currently WithAudio has a Global Capture feature on MacOS which reads any text you select in any application for you.
