Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. The screenshot shows that resources on the login page aren’t loading - this usually points to a network issue or security software blocking the auth process.

Please try:

  • Temporarily disable firewall/antivirus - Windows Defender or third‑party tools might block Cursor’s auth requests
  • Disable VPN (if enabled) - try logging in without a VPN
  • Check proxy settings - corporate proxies can interfere
  • Try a different network - test another Wi‑Fi/ethernet if possible

Also helpful to know:

  • Are you on a corporate/work network?
  • Is this your first login attempt, or did it work before?
  • Do you have any firewall, antivirus, or proxy software running?

If that doesn’t help, try clearing the browser cache in case of stale resources:

  • Press F12 in the login window
  • Right‑click the refresh button
  • Select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”

Let me know what you find.

Hi

I have followed the troubleshooting steps you provided, but I am still unable to log in. Please find my responses to the requested details below:

  • Are you on a corporate/work network? Yes.

  • Is this your first login attempt, or did it work before? No, this is not my first attempt. It was working fine previously.

  • Do you have any firewall, antivirus, or proxy software running? Yes. we disabled the antivirus for testing, and the firewall appears to allow the traffic, as the browser successfully displays the login page. However, after clicking “Yes” on the “Log in to Cursor Desktop?” window, the desktop does not complete the login process.

Could you please advise on the next steps?

Thank you for your assistance.

Thanks for the info. It looks like a corporate firewall block. The network is preventing the login page resources from loading.

Ask your IT department to whitelist:

*.cursor.com
auth.cursor.com
api.cursor.sh
api2.cursor.sh

Temporary test:

  • Try a different network (mobile hotspot or home)
  • If it works there, it’s definitely a whitelist issue

Let me know if whitelisting these domains helps.
