I am experiencing an issue while attempting to log in to the desktop application on a Windows 11 device. The application becomes unresponsive at the loginDeepPage and does not proceed further or complete the login process.
Details:
Platform: Windows 11
Issue: App gets stuck on the loginDeepPage during login
Impact: Unable to access the desktop application
Could you please advise on the next steps or provide troubleshooting guidance to resolve this?
Hey, thanks for the report. The screenshot shows that resources on the login page aren’t loading - this usually points to a network issue or security software blocking the auth process.
Please try:
Temporarily disable firewall/antivirus - Windows Defender or third‑party tools might block Cursor’s auth requests
Disable VPN (if enabled) - try logging in without a VPN
Check proxy settings - corporate proxies can interfere
Try a different network - test another Wi‑Fi/ethernet if possible
Also helpful to know:
Are you on a corporate/work network?
Is this your first login attempt, or did it work before?
Do you have any firewall, antivirus, or proxy software running?
If that doesn’t help, try clearing the browser cache in case of stale resources:
I have followed the troubleshooting steps you provided, but I am still unable to log in. Please find my responses to the requested details below:
Are you on a corporate/work network? Yes.
Is this your first login attempt, or did it work before? No, this is not my first attempt. It was working fine previously.
Do you have any firewall, antivirus, or proxy software running? Yes. we disabled the antivirus for testing, and the firewall appears to allow the traffic, as the browser successfully displays the login page. However, after clicking “Yes” on the “Log in to Cursor Desktop?” window, the desktop does not complete the login process.
