Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. It looks like the authentication callback from your browser to the Cursor app is being blocked.

Please try the steps below:

  • Temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus, this is the most common cause of login callback issues on Windows
  • Run network diagnostics: Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics and share the results
  • Check logs: Help > Developer: Open Logs Folder and see if there are any errors when you try to log in

Also, please share:

  • Your exact Cursor version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)
  • Which browser you’re using to log in
  • Which firewall/antivirus is running

Let us know what you find and we’ll get this sorted out.

Hello, these are the errors. I tried different browsers, Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Hello, these are the errors

Thanks for the detailed logs. The ECONNRESET and ERR_CONNECTION_RESET errors show that something on your system is blocking Cursor’s network connections.

Try these solutions in order:

  1. Disable HTTP/2: Press Ctrl + , → search for “HTTP/2” → enable “Disable HTTP/2”, then restart Cursor and try logging in

  2. Temporarily disable firewall/antivirus during login (most common cause)

  3. Disable VPN if you’re using one

  4. Run Network Diagnostics: Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics and share the results

Also, please share:

  • Your exact Cursor version: Menu → About Cursor → Copy
  • Which firewall/antivirus software you’re running

Let me know which step resolves it!
