Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, I just emailed support. I had trouble really dialing in the request so that Cursor would not over complicated my request. But I am pretty sure I have it dialed in now.
Although, the other day I am working and it dies in the middle of fixing a page, so I as I usually do, open a new chat and try to start again. Only this time, it will not work. I have now tried restarting my machine, I have flush my system cache, I have waited a day to see if it was just an odd bug. Nothing works I still just get Generating… but I never get a response, and when I look in the Dashboard I am getting charged for each request. I am about to uninstall Cursor and reinstall and see if that does anything. But so far I am at a loss. I finally got an error today for the first time after waiting for about 30 mins for the Generating…
Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN
This is a pretty known issue, just experienced it right before posting this.
I’ve found restarting the application and then asking it to continue where it left off works.
That for sure does not work for me. I have now tried to restart the program. Restart my machine. Delete from my machine and reinstall. Log out and log back in. I have tried a few things. Still just Generating and never responds. At least now I don’t see any additional deductions in request. I guess I can try another computer, but at this point. i feel like either something on my system, which I can’t determine, something on my ISP, or something on Cursor side is blocking. I just don’t know what. Pretty frustrating though. I thought this might be a good tool. Now I just wish it would work.
It it happens to me also. Its start in the morning.
I has reading and disabled http/2. Restarting the program/pc even reinstall the software.
Still get “generating.”
Holly cow, I got a message from support and it gave me and idea. This is odd, but it was not working. I got on my company VPN, it worked fine. I then logged off of VPN and still working just fine. I had to be something with IP and some type of connection issue. I am not certain still what it was, but for what ever reason, using VPN worked like a charm. Hopefully that works for some others that experience this as well.
Hey everyone,
unfortunately… I don’t use ANY vpn but got this issue for more than 3 days on my project now and unfortunately, I don’t know what to do?!
