I upgraded Cursor 0.48.9 to 0.49.2 on Win11, and it gets stuck in ‘Generating’ regardless of the task and model choice.
Hi, please open your console (in the command palette, Developer: Toggle Developer Tools) and send screenshots of any errors you see here!

Hey, have you tried this in another project? As mentioned above, a screenshot of the errors would be helpful.
UPD: It seems this has already been fixed in version 0.49.4.
I’m afraid it is not resolved in 0.49.4. Literally just been grappling with this for the last few hours. Even if it ever gets through, it takes aaaaaages to spit out some random blurb, and all this leaves a horrible bitterness on the tip of my tongue.
Is there a legit way to downgrade to the last version (0.48.9) safely without losing all the work, history and workspace settings among the other things?
Secondly, is there a way to disable the FORCED auto-upgrade from one version to another?
Could you share screenshots of all the displayed console logs? To do this, open the command palette with cmd/ctrl + shift + p
, and type Developer: Toggle Developer Tools
.
Hi,
I just noticed this problem only happens (at least in my case), when I am connected to my remote compute resource via SSH. 0.49.2 seems to work well when working on a local folder/codebase.
I have attached the screenshot of a ‘Console’ tab from developer tools output for the SSH’ed case.
Thanks,
Solved with 0.49.4

Still stuck in the same problem for the 0.49.6 version. It drives me crazy.
