Stuck on generating response

Was working an hour ago, and have since spent the last hour trying to get it to work again. No matter what prompt I put, the three dots animation just continuously loops. No response. Allows me to “Cancel generation” but nothing works, no models.

I updated to the latest version as I saw the pop-up in the bottom left, and this did not fix the issue.

I can log in to the site without issues, but it’s still down for me despite them claiming it’s been fixed in another thread. Hope they don’t think everyone is operational as it’s still down on my end.

Try starting a new session, it should help.

The issue for me was a Mac update had blocked Cursor in the firewall. By adding Cursor as an exception it started working again. I figured this out by running it in my windows machine without issues and then going back to my Mac, disabled the firewall and it worked fine.

I am experiencing this issue repeatedly in 0.45.3

Starting a new chat does not resolve it.
Restarting the app does not resolve it.
Restarting my computer does not resovle it.

The only thing that resovles the issue is deleting the whole user folder at ~/Library/Application Support/Cursor/User
