In the original VSCode, when I open a new blank window, I can easily create a new empty text file by Double Click. This functionality is very convenient for quickly starting new temporary files. However, I noticed that this feature is not available in Cursor.
Hey, thanks for the feedback.
You should be able to get around this by right-clicking in the empty window, where you should get the option for a new file there, but I agree that double-clicking the space would be nice to have!
Weird coincidence that I saw this right after I discovered that you can do this. So yeah, it’s actually available. Double-click the area where the tab would go. Make sure there’s not so many tabs that they take up the whole tab-space and double-click there.
