Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

Context:

  • Utilizing Cursor Glass IDE
  • Open project
  • Multiple sub-agent panels
  • Composer 2 OR Auto Mode in one Agent
  • Premium Mode in another Agent
  • The Composer/Auto agent chat history is cleared

Steps to Reproduce

Upon navigating between a Composer 2 Agent and Premium Agent (same project scope) the Composer 2 agent chat history is consistently cleared only maintaining the messages I have sent.

I have recreated this multiple times by utilizing Premium mode, writing prompts, and receiving messages. Then, in another agent tab in the same project scope, utilizing Composer 2 OR Auto Mode and sending a prompt, waiting to receive a message from LLM, navigating between agents, causes the Composer 2/ Auto Mode chat to disappear.

This leaves only the messages I have previously sent in the composer/auto chat with no received messages remaining.

Expected Behavior

The Composer 2/ Auto Mode Agent should maintain chat history. For now, it only maintains sent messages, not received messages (for instance, a user’s sent messages are kept and received messages are not kept).

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. I see the screenshot, and yeah, AI replies really do disappear when switching between agent tabs, only your messages stay.

This is a known bug and the team is aware. A fix is already prepared and should ship in the next update. Once you get the update, it should be gone.

For now, a workaround is to click into another chat and then come back. Sometimes that restores the missing content.

Let me know if the issue still happens after the update.
