Teach me when I need teaching

When AI assisted coding came out, I was decent with python and that’s it.

Completely self-taught hobbyist.

Now I’m deploying full stack web apps in React/Next.js thanks to Cursor.

And it’s ■■■■■■■ amazing and fun, but here is what would be super helpful:

Teach me when I need teaching

There are a lot of basics that just fly over my head (eg. the nuances of client vs server components, the role that layout and page files play, app routes, I have no idea what hooks are lol etc. etc.) and this seems to be causing repeated oversights/mistakes on my part.

It would be amazing if Cursor detected when I need a lesson.

It could suggest “Hey, I notice you have had quite a few issues with client/server components … would you be interested in learning more about the differences and how to effectively work with them?”

This would make my learning/building journey even better.

Thanks!

For what its worth, simply adding Teach me when I need teaching to your .cursorrules file would probably do the trick.

I think what you want is roughly like the 1st feature I said here: Cursor 0.48 What new features are expected - #6 by dbsx
