Team Rules - Managing Rules Across an Organization

Hi Cursor Team. It would be great to have a way to manage rules for users within my team plan. These would be rules that work across all projects, similar to user rules, but could be managed in a single space for the entire team.

We have dozens of projects with different purposes for different business groups, for individual project rules the current system works great. But some of our tech stack and processes are shared across those projects.

The current alternative is to send out communication to ask each developer to update their user rules whenever we identify a new rule or tweak to existing rule. We have no way to confirm that the rules were correctly applied to every user unless we manually check their IDE.

We also need this feature urgently in order to have global rules that are required by our government and security dept.

We saw the only option to use global rules per user is that the user will add rules under Settings–>Rules.
This is not good for us as we cannot control this centrally and enforce it to all our users.

For example, in Claude we can push a file to all our workstations via MDM and force such rules (called Claude Instructions).
