Tedious app hang between switching windows

Both after switching windows and sometimes randomly while using the Cursor app, the whole window will appear unresponsive, sometimes showing a progress bar above the project files, which takes several seconds to load. After Cursor finishes doing whatever it’s doing, all user inputs are ran, this includes keystrokes, clicks, etc.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Launch Cursor
2. Open workflow
3. Switch your window to something else
4. Switch back to Cursor, see how a progress bar starts loading above the project files list and the whole application hangs for several seconds

I attempted disabling Git altogether, thinking it might’ve been the root of the issue. That change in my config did nothing.
To say the least, this is incredibly tedious when working with Cursor, especially when I have to constantly switch back and forth with Firefox to debug my HTML changes for my Laravel app. This is considerably slowing me down when using Cursor with my app.

OS: EndeavourOS (Arch w/ kernel 6.14.4)
Cursor version: 0.49.6-1 (cursor-bin)

Another place it typically hangs up at is while saving a file. This does not happen in raw VSCode. Also, just for testing, I tried running the AppImage instead of the Arch-packaged binary, and the issue still persists
