Performance Issues After Updating to Cursor 0.46.9 on Ubuntu 24

Hi,
I recently updated to Cursor 0.46.9, and since then, I’ve been experiencing severe lagging issues. The editor frequently hangs, making it difficult to work efficiently.
I’m not using multiple agents.

My system specifications:

  • OS: Ubuntu 24
  • CPU & RAM Usage: Normal (no abnormal spikes)

Despite my system running normally, Cursor is unresponsive at times. I’d appreciate any advice on troubleshooting this issue.

Thanks in advance!

Hey, try updating Cursor, this might have already been fixed. Also, if the problem persists, try reinstalling Cursor:

Just my $.02. Same issue using Arch. Originally I blamed it on trying agent mode for the first time, but that wasn’t it. It’s basically not feasible to use Cursor to edit files, as it keeps locking up for several seconds.

Also, “Check for updates” reports that there is no newer version.
