The Composer version banner keeps appearing

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

After every interaction with the agent in the IDE, now the banner appears that says We're upgrading you to Composer 2 fast, a smarter and cheaper model.. And I dismiss it, and then it appears again. I got the news, thank you, how can this banner be dismissed permanently? It’s very annoying and distracting from the work I’m doing with Cursor. Thanks.

Steps to Reproduce

Start agent. Enter anything in the input. Submit. Wait for the response.

Expected Behavior

Banner won’t appear.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @Alexander_Rymasheusk!

Are you manually selecting Composer 1.5 to run your requests, or is it being used incidentally (e.g., by one of Cursor’s built-in subagents)?

If it’s the latter, this should be fixed in the latest version of v2.6 (2.6.22) and in Cursor v3.0. Could you try upgrading and let us know if you still see the banner?

If it’s the former, unfortunately Composer 1.5 has been retired, and selecting it will always trigger this banner.
