The new version of Cursor does not automatically open files in the editor area after creating or modifying them, unlike the old version

Describe the Bug

The new version of Cursor does not automatically open files in the editor area after creating or modifying them, unlike the old version.

Steps to Reproduce

The Cursor version I used before would automatically open a modified or newly created file in the editor area, allowing me to edit and view it directly. But after upgrading to the latest version, this automatic file opening feature no longer works. Modified or new files do not open automatically, and I have to manually locate and open them.

Is this a design change in the new version? Is there any way to restore the automatic opening of modified or created files? Or could you please tell me where the relevant configuration settings can be adjusted?

agreed i need this please

Bumping because this is incredibly annoying, as dealing with changes as they popped up was a key part of my efficient workflow. This is a real time-cost issue. If most people disliked it, please bring it back as an option.

I agree, this feature was time saving and allowed me to be aware of all the changes. Now I find myselft having to waste time, and really of git to understand what changes were made and if I agree with them.
Please bring this back, or at least give us an option to turn this on or off.

Agreed this is totally annoying and i cant even see any settinhgs to change this. Ieven provided prompt to always open the file it is wokring on still didnt help.

I find it really annoying that files don’t open automatically after editing. I wish the team would make this an optional setting.
