Cursor still no longer automatically opens changed files. This functionality was quite handy and I saw a lot of people complain that it was removed.
The “Review Changes” button is not the same thing, it was better before.
Steps to Reproduce
The Cursor version I used before would automatically open a modified or newly created file in the editor area, allowing me to edit and view it directly. But after upgrading to the latest version, this automatic file opening feature no longer works. Modified or new files do not open automatically, and I have to manually locate and open them.
Operating System
Windows 10/11

Was it requested by the community ?
Wouldn’t the right approach be to have a toggle to enable/disable this functionality ?
I notice it was very useful for a lot of people aside from myself.
Done. But it would really be appreciated if you could mention it to developers too if that’s possible, you can see a lot of people want that feature back. I appreciate your answers.
I will NEVER EVER understand removing a feature when you know some ppl might like it. It takes 2 minute to write a togglable option, badabim badaboom…. HELL!!! YOU COULD HAVE ASKED AN AI TO DO IT! without issue….
Try to convince me removing it instead of having a toggle is a better choice.
