The Web Search feature

Hi. The Cursor settings allow us to tic the web search feature.

However, when i ask the agent to look at a link, it says it cant.

can someone help me explain this please.

Could you share:

  • which LLM model are you using?
  • what’s your cursor version?
  • what’s your OS [windows/mac/linux]?

This may help troubleshoot.

my version is 0.48.9
LLM is auto but i have specify claude 3.5 ot gtp4o at times
windows

let me clarify my question…

  1. since the web search option is clicked, it is able to search the web?
  2. and if it is able to search the web, shd it able to “look” at a link if i paste the link in the chat window?

Hey, if you use the @web function, it should perform an internet search. You can also just ask in natural language to perform a search online. Links will also be reviewed if you paste them into the chat window.
