Describe the Bug
When using Cursor with Claude 3.7, the AI frequently gets stuck in a “Writing Code…” state without producing any actual output. The process hangs indefinitely, requiring manual cancellation. This issue prevents me from receiving generated code or responses from the AI.
Steps to Reproduce
Open Cursor and ensure Claude 3.7 is selected as the active AI model.
Provide a prompt or request to the AI that typically generates code (e.g., “Write a Python function for a Fibonacci sequence,” or “Explain this code snippet: [your code]”).
Observe the AI’s status indicator. It will display “Writing Code…” (or similar text).
The AI will then get stuck in this state without generating any code or response, and the process will not complete on its own.
Expected Behavior
When the AI is prompted, it should process the request, display “Writing Code…” (or similar), and then quickly output the generated code or response. The process should complete, and the AI should not remain indefinitely stuck in the “Writing Code…” state.
