Unable to Access Claude Models in Cursor Editor - Support Request

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Dear Cursor Support Team,

I am writing to report an issue with my Cursor editor (latest version), where I cannot select any Claude-related models (e.g., Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3.7 Sonnet). The dropdown menu only shows limited options like grok and deepseek。
(Note: When I first installed the Cursor IDE, I was able to select Claude models. Recently, after trying to install the Cursor plugin in JetBrains IDEA, I can no longer select Claude models in the Cursor IDE. Deleting the cache configuration and uninstalling and reinstalling it didn’t work either.)

Steps to Reproduce

New conversation, manually select model type, display all model lists

Expected Behavior

It is expected that any Claude model will be available for selection. Currently, attempts to resolve the issue by clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the application, and switching “HTTP Compatibility Mode” to HTTP/1.1 have all failed.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This sometimes happens. Could you let me know if you’re using a firewall? It looks like some Cursor API endpoints might be unreachable from your device.

Also, did you try clicking the refresh button next to the model search bar?

If you have any custom API key enabled, try disabling it and restarting Cursor.

Additionally, you can try adding those models manually.

After testing, it is indeed a firewall issue. Currently, I can access the Claude model normally after connecting to the VPN. Thank you very much for your suggestion.
