I am trying to login to several website for our hotel, to automate the task and complete the assign duties.
Asking grok bot to login to above website, it writes the user name and than when it tries to write/autofill the password it does not copied from 1password or gets clears out. Once the grok bot click the submit button it gets the error back saying “invalid username/password”.
I was having the same issue for below couple websites too:
For AI issues: which model did you use?
Model name (e.g., Sonnet 4, Tab…)
For AI issues: add Request ID with privacy disabled
Request ID: f9a7046a-279b-47e5-ab48-6e8dc12daba1
For Background Agent issues, also post the ID: bc-…

The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Thanks!
Hey @chiragpatel31, thanks for the report and for listing the sites. This is a known issue we’re already tracking, and I’ve added your report to it. There are two things going on:
On some sign-in pages, the page rejects the way the 1Password fill submits the form, and the password field gets cleared afterward. When Grok Bot then clicks Sign in, only the username is sent, which is why you see “invalid username/password”.
On sites that ask for the username first and the password on a second page (like the Expedia and Booking.com partner portals), the password page often isn’t recognized, so the password never gets filled.
In the meantime, either of these should get you signed in:
Ask Grok Bot to skip autofill and show you a secure sign-in form in the chat instead, for example: “Don’t use 1Password autofill for this site. Show me a secure form to enter the password.” Type the password there. It’s masked, and Grok Bot fills it into the sign-in page for you.
Or take over the Grok Bot computer and sign in to the site yourself once. These portals usually keep you signed in, so Grok Bot can carry on with your tasks from there.
If one of these doesn’t work on a particular site, reply here with the site name and what you saw, and we’ll add it to the report.
Thank you for your response, I have been hard core programmer for about 13 years, I completely understand that.
Yes- the two solutions you had mention absolutely works and I have been using it for all the hotels website I had mention, the only issue with those options are I can automate the task and requires my input once the login on website are timed out. Sometime my take are required to run at midnight and they al fail for now.
But I understand you guys are working on it and hopefully soon 1Password password autofill issue will be resolved.
Before using grok bot I was programmatically interacting with those website for navigation and once the land of page I was reading the html content and storing in database for user display. Grok bot works out really great with just very minimal effort.
Thank you for everything you guys do. Appreciated.
