Unable to move chat to the left pane

Describe the Bug

Drag & drop chat to the primary side bar doesn’t move chat there and just closes AI pane. The right side of VS Code-like IDE is often used for scroll easy access and users should have an options to move everything from there somewhere else.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install fresh version of Cursor (1.2.4).
  2. Switch Primary Side Bar to vertical orientation.
  3. Open AI pane.
  4. Drag & drop chat to the Primary Side Bar on the left.

Expected Behavior

The chat button appears among other icons (like “Explorer”, “Search”, “Extensions”, etc.).

Hey, at the moment, the chat tab cannot be moved to the main panel. However, this feature might be available in the future.
