No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, I checked the Request ID and this isn’t a Cursor connectivity issue. The request reached the upstream model provider, and their safety system temporarily limited access to the model for your account due to a flag related to potentially suspicious cybersecurity activity. Cursor just surfaces this as a generic Unable to reach the model provider message, which is misleading. We’re working on improving the error text.

What you can do:

  • Switch to a different model in the picker, like Claude or Gemini. The flag is provider-specific, not global.
  • Wait. This is temporary and usually clears on its own.
  • If you’re doing legitimate cybersecurity work, there’s OpenAI

If the issue still happens after switching models, send a fresh Request ID and I’ll take a look.
