I have a pop-up appearing in the left corner with the message ‘Update cursor’. I follow ir, Cursor restart, but the pop-up appears again.
I am using version 0.45.14.
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?"

Very likely your Cursor fails to update.
I saw in the forum that 0.45.15 had this issue for some users and the Cursor team recommends to download a newer version
Perhaps make sure to backup your cursor folders with settings just in case of upgrade issues.
To backup Cursor settings folders on all operating systems, you’ll need to locate and copy the relevant directories. Here’s how to do it for each OS:
Windows:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Cursor
macOS:
~/Library/Application Support/Cursor
Linux:
~/.config/Cursor/
Additionally, you may want to backup the ~/.cursor.json
file on macOS and Linux, which contains some user-specific settings.
It’s important to note that these folders contain your app data, including extensions, themes, snippets, and other installation-related data. Before performing any major changes or reinstallations, it’s recommended to create these backups to ensure you don’t lose your customized settings.
