Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey thanks for the report. I’m sorry you lost those conversations - I know that’s frustrating, especially after working in agent mode.

Unfortunately, chat history is stored locally on your device and can be cleared during updates, especially when disk space is low. Once lost, conversations can’t be recovered from servers.

What to check:

Check disk space: low space during updates is a common cause of history loss. Make sure you have enough free space.

For the future:

  • Export important chats to Markdown for backup (three dots at the top of the chat → Export Chat)
  • Consider using the SpecStory extension for automatic chat exports
  • Keep enough free disk space before updates

Let me know if opening the workspace file helps recover any conversations.
