When the usage indicator showed up, I was excited.
But now I have no idea what it even means.
It never changes. It says I’ve used 29% of my usage limit even though I’ve literally used 100% of my “included” usage. It said 29% last month. It has said 29% pretty much the entire time it has existed. What’s the point of this feature if it doesn’t mean anything?
In this case, I’m pretty sure it’s $20.05 / $70, which is 28.6%. Rounded up – 29%!
I would assume you have an on-demand limit of $50 set, which is where $70 comes from. However, you haven’t really had to dip in due to the extra free usage we’ve been able to allocate this month.
By all means, if you see off math, please let us know! But I think it’s solid in this case.
That said, I agree it’s not particularly intuitive if you only ever see the exact number because you never dip into on-demand usage. It’s good feedback, I’ll pass it on.
Yup, you’re correct. After reading your response, I set my on-demand limit to $0.00.
It went from 29% to 0%
So indeed, it’s based on the combined included-usage plus on-demand limit.
