Question about Cursor $20 Pro plan usage limits

I am currently using the $20 Pro plan.

As shown in the screenshots, the IDE indicates that I have used only about 1x% of my Pro allocation. However, when I check the Usage tab on the web dashboard, the Cumulative Total already exceeds $21. At the same time, On-Demand spending (additional paid usage) is turned off.

Because of this, I am confused and would like clarification on the following points:

  1. Even though I paid $20 for the Pro plan, is it possible to actually use more than $20 worth of usage (for example, since it shows around 10% used, does that mean I can use up to $200 worth)?

  2. What exactly does “Cumulative Total” represent, and why does it exceed $20? What is the precise meaning of this value?

In summary, the IDE shows that I have used about 10% of my Pro allocation, while the web dashboard shows total usage exceeding $20. On-Demand spending is disabled, yet I can still continue using the service. This discrepancy is causing confusion, and I would appreciate a clear explanation.

Thank you.

the $20 on your plan is only in reference to API usage (when a specific model is selected). each plan includes $X amount of API usage, plus a little extra (the “free on us” amount that you’ll see once you hit the API limits)

the “Auto” model/setting has its own % limits, as indicated by that top bar. The “Total” value then represents your total usage among Auto usage (not connect to plan spend) and API usage ($20 available)

the $ value in that second chart I believe is referring to the $ amount that your Auto model (the 14%) has used, but i’m not positive. the team is adjusting this panel currently so I’ll pass feedback that having monetary values in that second chart, but not on the usage page, is confusing

Would be nice to see the on-demand pricing in the drop-down selector so we can make rational choices
