Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi @Sergio_Agosti Thanks for the report! we have a bug report open for this and I’ve added your experience to the report. We’ll let you know any updates.

I do have a good workaround for you though! If you go to View → Status Bar, toggle the Status bar off, and then the Usage Summary is shown again.

Thank you Kevin, I did look for an existing bug report on this but couldn’t find one, sorry for the duplicate. Also thanks for the tip. For bnow I think I’ll keep the status bar as I really need to see the context used top avoid the dumb zone. However I really hope this gets fixed soon. Many thanks!

Oh no need to be sorry. When I say “we have a bug report open” that typically means internally at Cursor we have a bug report and we’re working on it. Don’t apologize haha!

Don’t forget that you can also check Settings for Usage information there too

hi :waving_hand:
any news on this ? i have the same issue, my usage summary is set to always, but i don’t see it at the bottom of the chat pane.

i’ve tried the workaround (view → status bar toggle), but that didn’t work

any updates on the bug resolution?

thanks

Hi @anas_build

What version of Cursor are you on? Can you share a screenshot of what your Agents view looks like now?

Hi Anas, thanks for the screenshot, it appears to show that when the chat status bar (the row showing your environment and context %, the “Local” and “24%” you can see at the bottom of your screenshot) is turned on, it currently hides the usage summary, and the “Always” setting has no effect while it’s on. We are working on a fix, but

But there may be a workaround while we work on the bug fix:

Make sure the chat status bar is actually hidden. Go to the View menu and toggle “Status Bar” off. When it’s truly off, that “Local” / “24%” row at the bottom should disappear, and the usage summary should come back. From your screenshot that row is still showing, so it looks like it may not have toggled off.

In the meantime, you can always see your full usage under Settings, in the Plan and Usage section, or on the dashboard. I’ll update this thread when the fix lands. Thanks for your patience!

indeed when toggling off (and letting it off), i can see the usage now
thank you Kevin!
