Use native code changes view/commit and push view instead of asking the AI in Agent Mode

Feature request for product/service

Cursor IDE

Describe the request

In the new Agent Mode view, when I want to stage, commit and push changes, the buttons to do that only ask the AI to do that for me.
While that is nice, I really miss the ability to use VSCode/Cursor’s commit input field and sync/push buttons so I can do that myself - as that is faster and don’t rely on tokens usage.

Operating System (if it applies)

MacOS

Hey @Marcelo_Kopmann_H!

Thanks for the feedback (there has been a lot of internal/external feedback on this).

Bringing deterministic git actions into the Agents Window is being worked on! Not sure when it will land, but definitely on our radar.

Same here.

What I miss is having push/sync and switching branches back as normal controls. In the old editor I had keybinds for that, so I could quickly push my commits and sync with origin or change branches myself. I do not need AI for those actions, and it was faster that way.

I’m fine using the agent with a custom / command for commits but yeah…

Would love to see those deterministic Git actions return in the Agent view.
