V46 - Can not choose folder to add to context

Since Updating to Cursor v46 with the combined folders/filers context menu.

It often not possible to select a folder. As it often show only shows files within the folders. Its very adhoc with sometimes seeing folders and sometimes only seeing files inside folders.

Either pleasure make the folder always at the top when matching, or give us back an option to only search for folders to add to context.

I’ve had to revert back to v45, since I very often provide a folder for context.

How do we revert back to 0.45?

EDIT: Found the link on the /downloads page.

If cursor team are reading this I’m reverting to 0.45 because it cannot read all the files in my project - it just won’t find them even if it’s a same type of script in same hierarchy in the project. Also you can’t use @codebase on 0.46. Please don’t remove support for 0.45 until you have resolved the issues you created in 0.46!

I believe they are moving in agents direction - when you don’t have to (means cannot) specify the context - the agent (should) does it.

It might be a bug - I experience this issue as well.
However when you use the @ symbol and press Enter to access Files & Folders, then type the folder name, it does display correctly.

I hope they fix this soon since the current implementation is quite poor and negatively impacts workflow efficiency.

I’m completely unable to add files to the context at all in 0.46.8:

  1. @filename does nothing.
  2. right-click on a file or set of files in the tree-view and “Add Files to Cursor Chat” does nothing.
  3. only workaround was to re-clone my repository to a different location which indicates there is something state based in my existing project

Once re-cloning a fresh repository and opening the project from scratch, Cursor was able to add files to the context in the chat window.
