VSCode vs Jetbrains

Hey Folks!

I’m fairly new to Cursor. It’s working nice for me as an additional support tool.
What I don’t like though is the fact of using VSCode as the base for the editor.
I’m used to Jetbrain’s Tools and would like to use them.

Are there plans to offer a plugin for Jetbrain’s Tools? Are there plans to offer an editor based on Jetbrains?

Basically that won’t happen. Jetbrains products are closed source. Plugin maybe, but in reality it doesn’t make sense.

That’s very sad we this would combine best of both worlds.

Issue is that you cannot simply fork JetBrains IntelliJ for example. Sure a paid deal between both companies could work, but doubtful.
