We’re experiencing high demand for Claude 4.5 Sonnet right now. Please switch to the ‘auto’ model, another model, or try again in a few moments.

I am not using Claude 4.5 Sonnet, I specifically disabled it and have selected Auto mode.

Steps to Reproduce

Try to do anything with the agent

Expected Behavior

The agent chooses an appropriate model for the task.

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

hi @alienspaces this may have been a temporary issue as Cursor can currently reach Sonnet 4.5.

Could you check and let me know if it still occurs?

Changing the model automatically is something users mentioned should not happen when they selected a specific model.

We do offer to switch to Auto as it does re-route to other providers that have no outage.

I did mention the above but it appears to be working now 8 hours later.
