Yeah, +1 on the EAP changelog request!
Does this mean weâd be able to use Memory in Privacy with Storage mode? That was a blocker for me using it previously. Thatâs exciting if true!
I have Memories (not memory!) active in EAP 1.1.2 using Privacy with Storage mode. So that would be a yes ![]()
Yes, it will be useful.
Could you not just add a release/beta toggle on the changelog, just like you got in the update settings? Updating the changelog as you go shouzld not be hard with git an llmâs at your hand ![]()
No, this is terrible. EA users need to test the new features. How are EA users to test new features when there is no info?
Can we get a dedicated page for EA release notes?
Itâs fine to keep things a mystery for those on GA since they arenât actually using it.
But how is it a mystery when the forum is filled with threads about early release errors/issues/guesses at whatâs changed etc.?
It doesnât help anyone on ER see a bunch of bugs that might have already been fixed, or GA users seeing new problems caused by ER.
One thing I hate about Winsurf is thereâs no proper forum.
Discord is a terrible replacement for a full forum, but it could be suitable as a less public place for early release information/discussion.
Users wanting to know whatâs changed when it actually changes instead of weeks later when theyâre already on the next set of mystery releases shouldnât be a hard or unreasonable ask.
Windsurf has proper changelog for their nightly releases. I see it as a sign that the devs care about their product.
Another such sign is f.e. having link to docs in the header, rather than the footer like Cursor does. Cursor has a link to staff recruitment in the header, but they canât afford to find a space for the actual link users need the most.
Header vs footer is like having users in your mind vs your bottom.
Yes
I think Dan explained it well.
Not really. Kind of felt more like a dismissive response. Marking the non-answer as a âsolutionâ is kind of the icing on the cake.
Cursor 1.1.3 and o3 and Sonnet-4, docs, rules, tab, ask, agent, manual, amd Memory combined really has created a truly intelligent programming environment. We are a giant leap beyond the pre 1.0 versions
I think in 1.1 there are more tools for the agent - Iâve seen agent compiling code to gather information, not just linter from language server.
Also more Cursor IQ somehow, it seems. Much less AI spiral of death for me.
We have not published a changelog entry for v1.1!
Alongside the pricing changes which shipped in this release, weâve also got some things in the works that didnât quite make it into this release.
v1.2 is underway internally and should be a bit of a more exciting changelog!
