and I installed it successfully.
But I cannot see “max mode” or “background agents” like the changelog.
Is it the common case?

You need to enable background agents in the Cursor settings. Use the shortcut Cmd + Shift + J and go to the Beta tab. As for Max Mode, you can enable it when selecting the model.

Yes, that’s correct. Once the feature is stable enough, we’ll roll it out to all users. Regarding Max Mode, I’ll check with the team.

You can check my earlier reply, I just downloaded 0.50.1 from above link, but still cannot see Max Mode. May be something went wrong I think.
I had a problem similar to yours a few months back. For some reason, when you have an API key inputted into the input field, even with it turned off, it registers it as turned on. So, you have to clear the API key in your OpenAI API key field, click verify to verify it failed, then that should fix it.
Update: I tried 0.50.2, and I can see Max Mode now!
