While planning, agent questions timing out resulted in agent writing code without permission

Describe the Bug

When building a plan and questions are asked, if you don’t answer and it times out, the agent proceed to build the plan, even in ‘Plan’ model. It also tried to push db changes that the plan included an the agent had created.

Steps to Reproduce

Built a plan, asked a few questions regarding it. If the response contains questions, allow it to time out.

Expected Behavior

The agent should stop and wait for the questions to be answered via a new message.

Hey, thanks for the report.

This is a known issue. The team was working on a bug with timeouts in Plan mode (when the agent’s questions time out, it keeps running instead of stopping). But based on your case and version 2.4.31, this might be a regression.

Unfortunately, the best workaround right now is to answer the agent’s questions before the timeout to avoid the issue.
